Trauma As A Healthcare Problem

Injury is a global public health problem and the dominant cause of death and disability of the young and active people, particularly in industrialized countries.

Injury is the seventh cause of death worldwide , and the number one cause of death in the young.

Injury is an unwanted side effect of industrialization.  Automobiles form an integral part of our surrounding. It is projected that road traffic fatalities will rise to the third leading global cause of death by the year 2020.

Non Union Fracture of Tibia With Narrow Dynamic Compression Plate

Non Union Fracture of Tibia With Narrow Dynamic Compression Plate

As seen in the xray there is non union of the tibia fracture and the implant is also inadequate. If you look carefully, the implant used here is narrow dynamic compression plate whereas in adult tibia recommended implant for plating is broad dynamic compression plate.

Moreover, only, four cortices have been used in proximal fragment of the fracture [There are only two screws] instead of recommended six four cortices [six screws].

New Look For Bone And Spine

Yep! You are looking at the site with a new theme. While I liked the old look too, I am quite excited about the new theme I have adopted for the website.

It is Eleven-40 theme child theme for Genesis platform [on which the site is run]. The name comes from its maximum width 140 pixels.

This is one of the minor reasons I chose the new theme.

The major one is that the new theme is mobile responsive theme. It can detect the mobile devices and adjust the breadth accordingly.

So here is the good news. Accessing the website from a mobile device just becomes easier and better.

Would you please test on your devices and leave a comment on your user experience.

A Very Happy 2012

2011 has been a good year for BoneAndSpine if not wonderful. We have maintained a steady growth except for the  temporary decline in last quarter.

The temporary decline in performance has forced me to draw a strategy on website work so that the growth is maintained at increased pace.

2012 is going to be wonderful year for the website.

I take this opportunity to wish you all a good health in 2012 and happiness that lasts lifetime.

Have a wonderful year ahead.
