Orthopaedics literally means straight child ( Ortho- Straight, paedics – Child). What started as a field of deformity correction in the early period has now developed into a full subject with so many further ramifications. As a whole orthopaedics is concerned with study, diagnosis and treatment of problems affecting bones, muscles, joints, ligaments, tendons, nerves and spine. The area of body covered are spine, upper limbs including shoulder and clavicular region, lower limbs including pelvis.
It is concerned with injuries in these region, local problems in these area and problems arising in these regions due to more generalised problems.
this is a good initiative especially in northern india .keep it up .
