    Also visible in the above xray is malunited fracture of the upper part of the shaft of femur which on retrospective questioning was about 8 years old and treated conservatively.

    An anterposterior xray of  the knee also revealed an injury to the medial condyle.

    Medial Condyle Fracture In Post Polio Frmur

    The patient use to walk without support unaided.

    Open reduction and internal fixation was done using locking compression plate and an interfragmentary screw was also used.

    The fracture has been stabilized well and patient has been put on range of motion exercise for knee.

    Note:

    The poliotic bones are thin and hypovascular due to decreased muscle mass of the limb.
