@Trish P,

I wish I could say something that helps you but the truth is that you need to specialist for your treatment and get it done within regulations of your healthcare system.

If you wish to know about the disease/fracture, you are most welcome.

My humerus was broke 4 months ago. First surgeon said he would put a nail in it if I had insurance. Break was in align so I tried to not move it. Doctor didn't want to sell me proper equipment, as I had little cash that day. I have paid him and he still didn't help me. He blames me for it not healing. I say it didn't have a chance to heal. Inadequate stablization is more likely the cause. A cheap splint, a sling from my husbands carpol tunnel surgery 6 yrs ago, and a pillow does not properly stablize arm. Have been to 2nd surgeon. Now to fix its bone harvest, skin grafting. I should of did what my friends said, went to an ER and staying until someone fixed me. Kinda like John Q! I am getting very upset over situation. Before accident I was very active. I am 45 yr old female with pain problems before the break. Haven't been able to sleep lying down. What do I do?

Dr Shailesh! Good to have you here.

Yes! from xray alone it seems that LCP is better option. But soft tissues of the patient were very bruised and there was a lot of risk associated with open surgery.

That swayed the decision. Thanks for your input
