@Chittranjan,
Most of femur fractures in children are treated by conservative means and traction is a very successful treatment and weekly xrays would tell about the progress of the union.
A proper traction should reduce the pain but the child needs to be monitored for fracture alignment and effectiveness of traction.
What do you want to know from me. Please let me know. Feel free to ask.
It would help if you could send xray image to me.

@yajahira,
I would have loved to answer your query but I am not able to understand the language.
Sorry.
Hi, my special needs 23 yrs old daughter has an displaced shaft femur fracure. This is the first time she had one, the dr. mentioned that her femur is very thin. That happened 5 days ago and yesterday she got cast for a brace that they are going to put to let her bone to heal, they don’t want to do surgery because they feel that she won’t tolerate it. They spoke about traction and then they declined and came out with the brace solution. Do you think that this will be a good solution? They told me because she does’t walk all that they want is that her bone stick together they don’t care how it’s heal. Thank you very much for the opportunity to ask you. Maria

@Maria E.Fernandez,
This is a special situation and all I can tell you is that it is one of the treatment option.
Because her treating doctor have found it suitable for her, it should be right thing to do in the given situation.
I understand your concern. The only answers to your doubts can be
1.By talking to the present doctor.
2. If you think that does not help, get a second opinion.
