    I once received a similar fracture in the ER but it was associated with a posterior shoulder dislocation . It was very critical to deal with it .

    sir, I had a 3 part humerus fracture involving proximal end on 23.8.08 while riding a two wheeler and I was operated and fracture reduced with a butress plate on 26.08.08. When my operated site was X rayed on 27.8.08,there was no gap found at the fractured site. But on 26.9.08 the X ray picture shows some gap and the surgeon said the bone is uniting well and do excercises. why there is a gap in the latest X ray ?. whether it is due to normal calcification and growth or due to misplacement of the fractured pieceses.Kindly clarify. Till today I evince pain on sitting.

    @Zayd

    Nice to meet you. Yes! It can become difficult to reduce this fracture if it is associated with dislocation.

    Care writing further about your experience.
