Brittle bones suffer from fractue since childhood. If you have a doubt, discuss the issue with your examining doctor.

My son just got diagnosed with a humerous intercondylar fracture. I am concered because he broke his elbow and had to have to screws put in, three months after that he broke his scapula. Do you think this may be a sign of maybe having brittle bones?

Hi I recentlly got in an accedent in football and I got a fracture right up the middle of my numerous about 3 or 4 inch. I was wondering if you could tell me what this would be called. I had surgery and had a plate and 6 pins put in. When I was a toodler I broke my same elbow leaving the middle of my humerous to not grow. After seeing the x-Ray I realized that it is extremly different than a regular elbow. I was just wondering if u have any information about a split right down the middle, and if you might know how this will effect me later in life. I’m only 16 right now and it broke 2 weeks ago

Please discuss these things with your treating doctor. He knows the best about removal of implants and any improvement that can be expected.

You may also seek another opinion by visiting a doctor in person with your record.

Dear Dr. Arun,

i had a similar intercondylar humerus fracture in my left arm in march 2009. i had an operation and now m undergoing physiotherapy for more than seven months. the range of movement has increased but still painful and not full.

there are plates and screws inside still. my surgeon says we can remove those in march-april.

now m worried if it will become good or not. will things improve with removal of plates and screws?
will it be alright and how much more time will it take?
please tell.

I need information to wok on to reach at any conclusion which I cannot with what you have provided.

Have you seen a physician? What was the diagnosis made?
What are your limitations of daily activities as of now?

Have you been xrayed? When was the last xray done? Could you mail me at the contact address.

What is range of motion of your joints of elbow and knee ( It seems that you have injury in both)

How old are you and what is your profession?

i was injured in biking 8 yrs ago. it was so painful. the pain stays 1-6 mnths. my mom and dad didnt bring me to the physician or therapist.. after a year i don’t feel any pain. i thought it was healed. then after a year we notice the dislocation of my knee bone. i have an awkward walk. many says that it couldn’t be fix. but until now im hoping. that someday i will find a doctor to fix it.. i leave here at philippines there are few professional doctors here..

What was the reason that this injury was not treated for 8 years and what is the problem now that treatment is being sought.

we have the same case..but what if my injury was 8 years old since then..no checkup at all..you think you can you fix this?
