Note previous bone formation in addition to fresh fracture.
Fracture of radius and ulna in a young adult.

fracture of Radius and Ulna
The fracture occurred in a motor vehicle injury
Fifty years old male with history of fall after inebriation. Xray revealed an ulnar fracture in distal fourth of ulna.

Minimally Displaced Fracture of Ulnar Shaft
The fracture was treated with conservative treatment but patient was lost in follow up.
46 years old male with history of direct hit on forearm.
The xray shows fracture of distal end of ulna.

Comminuted Fracture of Distal Part of Ulna
The fracture was not displaced and was treated by above elbow plaster of Paris cast.
Post operative xray of fracture of distal radius and ulna in a child fixed with Kwires.

Here is the anteroposterior view

Radial head Dislocation With Fracture Ulna With Callus -AP View
Dislocation is clearer in lateral view of the elbow

Neglected Monteggia Lateral View Showing More Promounced dislocation
Note the callus formation in fracture of ulna, an attempt of the bone to unite.
The following xray is of 28 years old young man who fell from stairs.
The xray shows fracture of radius and ulna bone in middle third and distal third junction.
Such fractures need anatomical reduction by open reduction and need to fixed by plating.
